Software generation is simplicity itself and can be accomplished either by your own engineers or through our development facilities.

Target software can be produced by a wide range of commercially available assemblers and compilers in a wide variety of programming languages.

Here at Raven we use the MikroElektronika compiler family which provides us with the ability to program in Assembler, Basic, C or Pascal.

MikroElektronikca provide a free size only limited compiler for download from their website,www.mikroelektronika.co.yu/.

The provision of bootloader code on the PIC itself installed prior to shipment allows compiled source code in the form of a hex file to be uploaded and run on the target processor without the added cost of a separate programming unit.  In addition, if the firmware is later required to be updated then this can be achieved via a serial port or an Ethernet connection or even over the internet!
